<p>This palm species have a reputation to be cold hardy. It has already proved it by successfuly overwintering for many years around Plovdiv, Bulgaria (zone 7a) with Christmas lights.</p>

<p>As a palm of desert origin, it needs plenty of sun. When watered and fertilized regularily, it will show a very good growth. But still, this is a very slow growing palm, pretty much like the Jubaea.</p>
